This album is dedicated to the memorie of Howard Berkman, a friend to whom I owe a huge debt of gratitude. Howard taught me to play guitar from an early age. He’s the one who told me if I dedicated myself I could be a professional guitar player and then he hired me for my first gigs.. He’s the one who started calling me Johnny O. Rosie is an early 30’s Kleartone that used to hang on Howard’s wall in all the different places I’d known Howard to lve. Rosie is the guitar I would grab off the wall when I’d go over to Howard’s house for a lesson, usually over a pot of tea and usually as much about life as it was about guitar.
